Margarete Hausler Biography

Margarete Hausler studied textile and surface design at the Art Academy Berlin-Weissensee. She first started with porcelain but this material was too cool, too rigid, fixed at the pure white form. The feel and play with materiality, surface finishing and colors fascinates her.

She has designed for well-known home textiles and textile publishers produced commissioned works in the field of textile for home accessories stores in Europe and the USA. For several years she lived in Paris and worked as a stylist and photographer for renowned trend agencies. Since 2005, cottagers advises companies about living and decorating. She specializes in trend research projects and thematic concepts for collections.
